Port Washington, NY - Night #2

It was a day of smooth sailing for Master Plan as she cruised through Long Island Sound.  We pulled the anchor up in Stonington (CT) Harbor just after 6:30 AM this morning - just before sunrise and grabbed a mooring in Port Washington Harbor just after sunset this evening - about 6:00 PM.  It was pretty much a straight shot today - the seas were calm and the sun shined brightly - Paul and I took our posts - he at the helm and me at the table just next to him working on my laptop and checking out the sights.  As we approached Port Washington, the Manhattan skyline was in the distance - what a beautiful sight.  It was a bit far away, but I did take a picture  . . .

Many have asked us about what we're doing about food.  As you well know, we don't miss a meal, so we've prepared accordingly!  :-)  Tonight, Paul is grilling some chicken and we'll have some black bean salad with it that he made before we left.  We also have a freezer filled with homemade sauces - bolognese, marinara, and pesto - so we plan to enjoy lots of pasta!  And of course - the liquor cabinet is full - see photos below!

Tomorrow we head to Atlantic City - it will be a long day - we plan to leave here at 6:30 AM and be on the East River along Manhattan at about 7:30 AM - then a straight shot down the Jersey coast.  The weather is looking promising, so we're taking full advantage.

We'll keep you posted!  Love, Jen & Paul
