Isle of Palms, SC - Night #16

Ahoy from Master Plan - I type this from the Isle of Palms, SC which is just 12 miles from our final destination in Charleston.  We traveled 85 miles today and it was easy going for the most part.  Yesterday we passed many communities with lots of no wake zones, so it was much more slower going.  Today - we were not near as many homes, so we could move a little faster.  It was a beautiful ride.

We left Osprey Marina at 7AM this morning - it was chilly so there was some steam off the water - the sun was just hitting the tops of trees - truly beautiful -

We had our first alligator siting today!  It was a pretty big one too!  We also saw more dolphins - SO COOL.  We've seen many, but it never gets old.

We arrived here to Isle of Palms just after 3PM and have a wonderful dock slip in a beautiful residential area.  We also met our neighbors for the evening - Linda & Bill, along with their two crew dogs - Trapper and Murphy.  They have an American Tug - beautiful red - called Ruby Slipper.
Master Plan on our dock for the evening.

Ruby Slipper coming in to the slip - funny story - we went around them earlier today (actually right when we saw the alligator!) and when Paul was calling them on the radio, he referred to them as "Rusty Slipper" - oops!  She's a beauty!

Trapper and Murphy - Ruby Slipper's Crew Dogs - so cute!
So we are settling in for the evening and it will be great to get to Charleston tomorrow.  We have a slip at the Charleston Maritime Center for a month, but will stay there until December 10th.  Paul and I will head to Charlotte via rental car from December 2 to 9 for the C.A.R.E. Clinic, which we are really excited about.   On December 10th, we will depart Charleston and head south for Florida with our dear friend Amy Coffey in tow!  Amy will join us for just over a week and will fly out of Jacksonville, FL.  We are so looking forward to welcoming her aboard!

We also look forward to welcoming our special friends Catharine and Kevin Sullivan who will join us next week for a few days over Thanksgiving weekend in Charleston - we are very excited about their visit.

We will send more info as we get settled in to our new digs tomorrow.  Until then - thanks for sending your good wishes and support by following along on this incredible journey.

Lots of love, Jen & Paul
