Deltaville, VA - Night #7

Ahoy from Master Plan!  Today we traveled 90 miles south down the Chesapeake ending our journey in Deltaville, Virginia.   We left Annapolis at 8:30 AM this morning - we had a great visit there - I took some pictures as we departed this beautiful area . . .
This narrow stretch of water is called Ego Alley - I guess in the peak season, people take their boats down, turn around at the end, and come back out.  We were docked at the very end of this on the right.

The Naval Academy
We anchored in Deltaville - we arrived here in the dark, so haven't seen much yet, but from what we can tell this is a really lovely area.  Tomorrow we head to Norfolk and then start our journey down the ICW - we expect to go about 55 miles tomorrow.  We turn our clocks back tonight, so we'll gain an hour!  Nice!

The Chesapeake Bay is beautiful - once again, we had great weather and great sea conditions - we really have been blessed.  I took a few pictures today -

We also saw a few pelicans today diving for lunch while we passed by - definitely a sign we're heading to warmer temperatures.

Thanks again for your support as we embark on this great journey - until tomorrow!  Jen & Paul

Today's Quote:

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
